This place is amazing! We tried so many things on the menu, and everything was some of the best I had ever tasted, with the exception of one dish. Poke nachos were on the specials menu when I went, and they were good. but not great. I have definitely had better... They are lacking a sweetness element to the flavor profile. They were a bit bland, but the quality of the ingredients was still good. (Not to sound like a food snob, but I poke nachos happen to be one of mine and My Daughter's favorite dishes, so we know them pretty well.) Here are the standouts: the Hamachi carpaccio. I would go back to this restaurant to eat that every day. The spicy buttered edamame. The Ramen was great and we tried three different versions. I really liked the salmon belly with grapefruit, but you have to remember that salmon belly is very oily. All in all the quality of the fishes extremely high and it was such a great experience. The ambience is beautiful, and the servers are extremely kind and courteous. I highly recommend reservations, and definitely leave yourself time to find a place to park in the busy area. But all of that still made it worth it!

Clean and inviting atmosphere. Server was friendly and had some delicious recommendations for ramen and sushi. Will return if given the opportunity.

Blown away by the service and sushi here. Everything was top notch. We were immediately seated on a Friday night. Lots of tables and they had a back room. Started off with the ceviche and salmon flight. Both were fresh and delicious. We had the Vegas roll and Dynamite Salmon and I'd recommend this all day. Their cocktails were also fantastic.

Wow the ramen here is so good. We ordered the house tonkatsu with a little spice, original tonkatsu and the B-side roll. Everything was great. But the spicy tonkatsu was my absolute favorite. The broth was flavorful and robust and the noodles were perfectly delicious. Definitely will come back here. The server was helpful and restaurant was spacious. There were lots of seating so we didn't feel stuffed next to a bunch of people.

In Portland for a conference and wanted sushi. I took them trolley down to another sushi spot that was closed for the day. Mirakutei was the closest spot to me so I walked a few blocks down to check it out. I was greeted and seated within a minute of getting in there. It was pretty chill, only a few other people were there (this was around 5p on a Wednesday). The menu had lots of options so that was nice. The waitress was so helpful when it came to making a drink I would like. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to ask for anything else so I ordered a ginger beer along with my Rum-Markable. Both were really tasty. I had the Hello Kitty roll and it was so good. Very filling. If I had the room, I would have ordered the matcha cheesecake. It sounded really good. I really liked my waitress. She was super helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. If I have another time to eat off site before I leave, I'll want to try this place again.

Though my experience here was super brief, it was pleasant. I came for late lunch on a weekday so it was very quiet. We got seated right away, with food being served fairly quickly as well. We ordered the hello kitty roll, trail blazer roll, spicy scallop roll, and the salmon avocado roll. Each bite from the traditional rolls were just as yummy as the specialty rolls. The server was friendly and attentive, though our interactions were few because we were in and out for a quick lunch. The restaurant is very well lit with many big windows making the restaurant look super welcoming and clean.

Mirakutei has such a beautiful, minimalistic interior that really enhances the dining experience. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, which made it even more enjoyable. The service was friendly and easygoing, which made it pleasant to order. I tried the Mirakutei roll, and it was amazing--perfect for a salmon lover like me. I also had the tonkotsu ramen (both deluxe and spicy). The deluxe one hit the spot with a rich, flavorful broth and tender, juicy pork. The spicy ramen had a strong ginger flavor that was a bit overpowering for my taste, but still good overall. The only downside was the chicken karaage--it was a little overpriced for the portion size. At $12, it felt like the value didn't quite match up to the ramen, which was $16-18. Overall, it was a great experience, and I definitely hope to come back sometime in the future!

Service: 7/10 good Ambiance: 7/10 nice date night vibes Food: 7/10 Cucumber salad: 8/10 I don't like cucumbers but these are great. Rice wine vinegar & sugar dressing with seaweed & sesame on top were absolutely perfectly balanced. Very impressive. Genki Ramen: 8/10 probably the best ramen I've ever had. The broth was dynamite. The meat was so well seasoned and flavorful. Noodles weren't over cooked. The texture of the bean sprouts on top were a great touch. Very good dish. Sushi: 6/10 I'm underwhelmed by sushi, my wife thought it was good. Fresh tasting but nothing to write home about

Sushi is always a go-to for me when I don't know what I'm craving. Portland has its fair share of sushi restaurants from conveyer belt to omakase, and Mirakutei is a great option for good-quality-don't-break-the-wallet sushi. Mirakutei has two locations around Portland and each is beautifully designed. While they don't take reservations, there's plenty of seating and we were able to get seated right away. We got the Kaizen roll, Albacore roll, and Salmon Aburi roll. They were all great! The fish tasted fresh and each roll was beautiful. It is a great mid-level tier quality sushi, and I mean this in the best way possible. It's not pretentious nor is it stingy. It is a great option if you want sushi, but want to avoid getting it from the grocery store. Service was also friendly and welcoming! Overall, a great experience and I will be back!

A little hesitant as there was not one Japanese employee among the seven I saw. However, after I learned about the previous long time owner selling to the current owner, which apparently was his sous chef, maybe it doesn't matter. The experienced started with the Rum-Arkable cocktail, so good and a fair sized pour. From there it was the edamame and a large variety of rolls, many colorful and laden with sauces that might turn off sushi purists. The Burnside Bridge roll was one of our favorites. Anything crab is listed as "crab salad", it wasn't as good as other places. The only dish that was meh was the saba nigiri. Service was very friendly.
